Attaching vivid imagery works best for visual learners.

I believe there are times when I have used these strategy to remember an information.

Great article by the way.

Hi
According to a study in the University of Michigan, announced Statins may reduce the risk of dementia and loss of memory.
But some people advice not to use statins in preventing dementia due to the side effects of drug.
The information posted is interesting!
Thanks!

Absolutely! Food is just as important. Take exercise for example...if you eat junk and exercise you won't see benefits. Likewise if you don't eat and exercise you won't see benefits. It is all about the right stuff. And the brain needs the same -- exercise and nutrients to get stronger and stay healthy.

Any research that provides additional insight into Alzheimer’s is critical to finding a cure.
It is also important for patients and families affected by Alzheimer’s to consider participating in clinical studies. One such study is the ICARA Study (www.icarastudy.com), whose goal is to explore if an investigational drug, called Bapineuzumab, can help slow the progression of Alzheimer’s Disease. Clinical studies that test new treatments are the best chance we have for fighting this disease.

I'd also want to point out that even if there's a memorization technique, we must also put in mind the food that we are eating. There are lots of brain foods out there that is really essential in helping in improving our memory. Examples are wild salmon, japanese green tea, gingko biloba, and many more.

I know...You have officially motivated me to take control of my life again. I have been taking too much time for other things.

The random.org site is a great idea. Keep sharing your tips and I promise I will make better/faster progress now.

Thanks for the motivation and reminding me to work on my memory :)

hello,

you've got to do 3 lessons a week, not 3 lessons a month ;)

You can do it, tighten your seat belt, brew the coffee and go for it!

I'm a student to, just finished lesson 8.
The fist 5 lessons were very difficult for me, but it got alot easier for the last 3 i did.
(getting started with the lesson, ability to concentrate, ability to visualize...)

Here i use this website to help me practice with my fc's
http://www.random.org/
(on the right of the screen, i just input from 21-30, and keep on clicking generate until i get it at a decent speed. Keep practicing once a day (5 minutes) for four days and it become a reflex :)

Good luck!
